Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ'S)
|
| |
| Q: | What is the best time to get in touch with me? | | A: | Calling after school is best. I'm usually availible between 2:30 and 4pm on weekdays, except during the Spring season when I coach. Email (brian.santos@fhsdschools.org)is another option - if I do not respond within 24 hours try resending. I welcome communication from both parents and students. |
| Q: | How many parent teacher conferences are there this semester? | | A: | There are two formal opportunities for parent teacher conferences per school year -- one per semester. Consult your school calendar to discern the exact dates of these meetings. However, I welcome requests for parent meetings at any time. |
| Q: | What do I use for a grading scale? | | A: | Please refer to the course syllabus. For most classes, participation is valued at 10%, Assignments/Journals are 30% and examinations are worth 60%. |
| Q: | What can you do to succeed in my Spanish class? | | A: | Daily practice is the key - since a lot of this class builds upon previously learned material, be sure to keep up with your work! Make flashcards for vocabulary and have your family or friends quiz you. Be sure to learn how to spell your words! Buy a Spanish-English dictionary to help you with reading assignments. Stay focused on school and don't let outside things interfere with your studies! Finally, if you still need help ASK me! |
